Hey Team,
I hope this message finds you well! As we celebrate the 50th National EMS Week, I want to take a moment to express our profound appreciation for all that you do every day. Your dedication, even through challenges and tough days, is truly commendable. Despite occasional conflicts and the pressures we face, you always prioritize our patients’ well-being, demonstrating the core values of our profession.
To show a small percentage of our gratitude, the E-board has purchased a special gift for each station in honor of EMS Week. We selected a 15-piece knife block set, which we hope you will find useful. Unfortunately, the sets are still being engraved and haven’t arrived yet. We hope to receive them this week but can’t guarantee the timing. A picture of the knife set is attached for you to see. Once they arrive, we will distribute them along with printed copies of the current contract.
I’m also excited to announce that our new website is just days away from launching. Vice-President Jeffers has invested countless hours into its development. The website will serve as a central hub for all union-related information and some county updates, making it easier for you to stay informed.
Lastly, I want you to know that we are always working tirelessly behind the scenes on your behalf. While I won’t go into the specifics now, we currently have two grievances headed to arbitration. This is just one example of our continuous efforts to advocate for every one of you.
Enjoy EMS Week, and hopefully, you’ll have a chance to enjoy some treats from our hospital partners, even if it is a 3-hour cold, fly-covered hotdog.
Take care, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.
